I pride myself on being able to establish long-term trusted relationships with my clients, allowing me to guide them through the vagaries of wealth management, retirement income, tax planning, and estate planning helping them to pursue their goals.
My approach is not a one size fits all strategy. Rather my strategy, after talking with my clients and getting a better understanding of their goals and dreams, allows me to address their financial concerns by developing strategies that focus on each individual’s specific needs at their particular life stage and anticipated life stages in the future.
My passion for helping people came at an early age as I learned from my Grandfather and Father as they helped people through our family business in Birmingham, AL.
Outside of Pine Bend Wealth Management
I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree with a focus in Finance from Jacksonville State University.
I enjoy spending my free time with my wife, Jackie, an Elementary School Teacher, and our son, H.C. Blackwell. We stay active by enjoying the outdoors and it’s not unusual to find us hunting and fishing on one of our family farms.
Community is important to me and my family so it's not unusual to find us volunteering in our community or at our church, Oxford Church of Christ where we are members.
As a board member of United Way of East Central Alabama we are part of the
United Way Worldwide, a leadership and support organization for a network of nearly 1,800 community-based United Ways in 41 countries and territories. My work is dedicated to advancing the common good by focusing on the education, income, health and to improving the conditions in which families in need of our services live.
I am also a board member of Rainbow Omega, a faith-based non-profit dedicated to ensuring adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are provided the vocational and residential programs to adults they need.
